It is projected that the muslim population of the UK will increase to 17% by the year 2050

https://www.statista.com/topics/4765/islam-in-the-...

Problem is, Brexit fked up moving to Spain or another European country full of UK expats, so can't even get away from it all. How many of us will be alive or care by the year 2050 though?

Maybe we will be thankful for the mass immigration to the UK so that these kind people can wipe our old arses.

It's truly terrible, isn't it!

The way all those immigrants were welcomed to our green and pleasant land with not so much as a single racist slur uttered against them?

The way they were invited to take their pick of the nicest houses yet for some inexplicable reason chose to group together in the cheapest, sttiest housing available?

I mean seriously! Given all the unconditional love we showed them, how on earth could they and their descendants ever feel anything other than a similar degree of unconditional love in return?
as an immigrant of 20 years, this post is on a new level of condescension and insult to those who understood that when you emigrate to a new country, you have to earn the respect and acceptance of its citisens, instead of immediately expect to be put on a pedestal and "offered" a privileged position.

The "privilege" was to be allowed to be here in the first place, legally. Then, over time, it gives many long-term immigrants huge pride to be accepted as part of the community.

These excuses for mob-like behaviour make my piss boil.

I believe it was a sarcastic mocking of the post it quoted.

To be fair I think Kermit's post was a bit tongue in cheek.

But I agree with your post. It takes a lot of effort and planning to move countries, usually a bit of pain when you get there. Loads of confusion even when moving from a similar culture.

The attitudes posted on this thread are absolutely galling and a kick in the teeth, not just to immigrants who've worked to make Britain a better place but to British born who are doing the same (read: the overwhelming majority of them).

Xenophobia and intolerance are inimical to British values. However that doesn't stop hateful people who've never gone more than 10 miles from their village and spend most of their lives in the same two pubs from spreading nonsense.

People forget that without immigration we wouldn't even have Suella Braverman... Erm....am I doing this correctly? It seems it's perfectly OK to accept immigrants if they're racist and xenophobic towards immigrants the Daily Mail doesn't like.

Any of the people posting on here thinking it’s all a load of Daily Mail dog whistle/racism etc live in Bradford/Rochdale/Luton etc etc?

Thought not.

Anyone on here had their sister in hospital with a broken arm for telling a gang of Muslim lads to “f-k off” for making lewd remarks “show us your tits white bh” etc. Police did nothing (mind you they were ignoring the grooming too, so no surprise).

Thought not.

You lot haven’t got a clue.
Born and brought up in a council estate in Bradford and have lived subsequently in such Elysian plains as Walsall and Hackney.

Sorry to hear what happened to your sister and yes, there are some scumbags out there, but there are scumbags in all walks of life.

She is blowing that dog whistle for all she is worth.

You never see the likes of Braverman saying a word about when it's a bunch of builders or an RAF officer harassing women do you.

Or some of our women's rights champions on here.

Wonder why.

And I guarantee that this poster doesn't live in any of those places, not had his sister's arm ever been broken.

We've found the person who listens to the fog whistles.

In your own words, you haven't got a clue.
Depressingly I believe Dog Star's story is a real one, I vaguely recall seeing it come up on elsewhere in this forum before.

I work with a lot of Muslims, and they are, to a man, thoroughly decent people.

Bradford et al are grim, though.

Low quality humans (particularly when there's lots of them in the same place) do low quality human things, regardless of skin colour. The bad kind of traveller communities seem to get a similarly light touch from the authorities when they turn up and st all over a place.

There in lies the issue... It's a story that comes up a lot.

I hear the same things from Australia except you swap out "Muslim" for "aboriginal"... Same dog whistle... Same story that never happened. Lies designed to tug on heartstrings to spread hate and fear.

It’s mad how things get played, isn’t it? I mean, we hear a lot about grooming gangs, but it’s pretty obvious that those kindly minicab drivers and takeaway owners were simply doing the hair and makeup of disadvantaged local white teenage girls that they felt sorry for - then the racists and fascists get hold of the story, and it takes on a whole new meaning.

We are getting a lot of retired early middle class turnips on here , doubtlessly anti brexit and anti conservative . This is why they can sit here all day and ping away their Guardianista Views till their hearts content
Firstly Housing . Local Authorities and Housing Associations give priority to these Immigrants , that’s why so many are already in Housing . This Housing in my experience is neither stty nor cheap which is fundamentally different from the experience of the Ugandan Asians expelled by Amin . You need to get your facts right

And a lot of people who can't construct a argument without insulting people with whom they disagree.

Normally I would agree with you entirely on this point, but Dog Star is a prolific poster and unlike some, I don't think I have seen any other posts from him that make me question his motives. As far as I can tell, Mr Star is one of the good ones, as it were (his eclectic taste in women aside, naturally).

Your experience differs from mine. I used to be an FD for a medium sized Housing Association. "Immigrants" don't feature on any of the "priority" criteria so they don't get allocated Council Houses. In fact responsibility for housing Asylum seekers rests with the Home Office, not Local Authorities.

And it terms of stty/cheap, I hate to admit it but I would not want to live in a Council House unless I was desperate. The quality is "basic" to put it mildy. They will usually have the cheapest bathrooms, kitchens, doors and they will almost always be undecorated. On top of that they are usually located in less-than-salubrious areas.

I would suggest, having looked at the policy of a couple of local authorities, you are posting total bolloc1s.

With our FPTP system we're always governed by a minority.

I think, given all that's gone on in the past two decades or so, we have been governed by people who are completely unrepresentative of the masses. Maybe not as unrepresentative as Islamists, but still a 'tribe' who are in it only for themselves, and as we have seen throughout those years, and culminating somewhat with the Post Office scandal, we're ruled by people taking vast sums of money for themselves.

Obviously, throughout, it's been brown and/or foreign people who we're told to watch out for, be it Saddam or Ghadafi or the EU or Africans or minorities or whatever.

The reality imo, is the enemy is within.
