So I guess that means he isn’t going to speak up in her defence then.

Would she really do time for this though?

Seems a bit excessive imo however much I don’t particularly like her.

Electoral fraud, is a bit of an issue..
It would indeed be an issue, and Lammy's excusery is risible nonsense. Only to be expected, though.
The left are only held accountable to the left… somewhat.. where’s Keir in this, after all, with terrorists and pedos under his wing previously, a bit of electoral fraud should be a walk in the park in PMQT.
What stand out to me is this part:

'Her arrangements, and certainly her tax arrangements, were subject to advice from accountants and from lawyers,' he added.

At the time? Were they? Really?

Agree, one needs to meet him to appreciate what a bellend he is.Lammy, Rayner and other members of Labour shadow cabinet have received large financial donations from a prominent pro-Israel lobby group, with Lammy abstaining from voting against Israel preventing food, water and medical aid into gaza. With Lammy later raising his concerns over children starving in gaza. anyone voting for Starmer's party should take a really hard look at themselves.

Tricky that really given that she has specifically said she didn't have an accountant or a tax adviser at the time (and no reason why she should have)

I would suggest she requested the professional indemnity insurance of said professionals.

I would also suggest she had no advice, her issues are electoral fraud, perhaps DWP fraud, from which imo there is no coming back.

Keir is not a Barrister any more, he is the leader of the Opposition.

I’d he becomes leader of the commons (aka prime minister) he will be answerable only to our King.

IMO with Kier, he should have been placed in the lords, why he has dealt with matters that should not be proper for a prime minister.

I also ask myself why he does not aspire to be chief justice.

She’s lived in her husbands house (marital home), rented her house to her brother, claimed to DWP she was living with her disabled son (whom was living with the husband with them), had DWP do up the house (which her brother lived in).

Fully on DWP benefits while working for the local council, whilst previously obtaining a council house then said discount on purchasing…

Who are this mythical ‘they’ that are going to get her please?

Because they seem to have been strangely inactive in dealing with political corruption recently….

I’ve said it before on here but Lammy’s claimed CV and educational attainments are entirely at odds with how he presents. I’ve never met him in person so maybe he just comes accross differently on TV to how he really is. I also assume that given the glaring disparity some enterprising journalist will already have verified his claims. However I do find it odd. Starmer himself is the same to some extent, he seems to lack the quick thinking, agile debating skills you’d expect of a KC.

It could be that that's the reason they're politicians.

I assumed they have that trained out of them as they rise in the political ranks. You just cannot go around saying what you think in politics these days as it will get you into all sorts of trouble. Unfortunately all that leaves is the cardboard box types we see at the top now.

They seem to think it's enough to warrant further investigations?

Bit like the racist remarks that other MP supposedly made.

If someone said it happened, guilty.

Don't you think we are going to see exactly the same stories about sleaze, impropriety, fraud, lying etc etc from the incoming Labour government that we have had with the current government? I predict it will be exactly the same, including the trading of pointless trinkets like 'knighthoods' as 'rewards' for favours done.

It's certainly a possibility.

I believe they were criticising Mansour's recent knighthood but when pressed refused to say whether they would give knighthoods to donors.

I would like to think they have learned some lessons from the past few years but I'm not convinced.
