Completely daft and completely unenforceable - plus you get the comedic possibility of further down the line 40 years olds getting ID'ed for ciggys.

Best way to reduce smoking would be to get behind vaping and other nicotine delivery methods, however the puritans that make up Public Health don't like those either, despite nicotine itself being generally less harmful than caffeine.

This is my view as well. As others have said, all that will happen is that the supply will become an underground operation.

How will it be policed I wonder?

In the future will we have an episode of Traffic Cops where they are stopping drivers of cars and giving them a tobacco warning or maybe giving them a tobacco swipe to check?
