Ignoring the issue that trans people’s sexuality isn’t tied to their gender identity - you’re saying it would be awesome because you could perv?

And you think it’s trans people who are the problem? Not pervs?
Yes, because I could perv, and I made no comment whatsoever on trans people in general.

Now you mention it it, I'd agree sexuality isn't tied to gender Identity. Don't you find that odd? People with Women's brains trapped in a man's body almost always have a the sexual desire of a man. Odd that *that* bit of the brain is male.
Eh? What’s the sexual desire of a man? Or a woman for that matter?

As it passed you by that there are many people attracted to the same sex? Or both.

It's less wooly than gender.

On average most men fancy women and most women fancy men.

Gender is nowhere near so clear, it's based totally on dated stereotypes.

I mean, I know my sex is male, that's easy. I know which sex I'm attracted to, that's easy and can be tested for.

As far as I know I have no gender and I have no idea how I'd find out what gender I am.

But you basically implied that a ‘man’s brain’ means you’re attracted to women. Which is incorrect.

Ate you saying gender doesn’t exist?

Technically not, depending on your definition (which is where most of the problems start). Gender is a human thing we decided on a while back but shouldn’t really matter.

Gender might be a social construct created by humans doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Gender in this context just means you conform a set of stereotypes so it exists, but, like the stereotypes it means nothing. (The term was only applied as 'pseudo sex' in the 40s.)

How did *you* find out what gender *you* are?

How do *I* find out out what gender *I* am?

(If it helps I'm looking forward to a 3hour video of Taylor Swift with my daughter tonight.)

Isn't being polite and respectful necessary and expected in life in general?
Not in the classroom I would say.

I have had a few really good teachers in childhood and adult life and none of the top 5 who made a genuine difference for me could be considered polite.

I expect school showers and smart phone use are not really compatible.
Probably part of it. Possibly also the staff are wary of trying to enforce showering - ours would be in the changing room herding naked kids into the showers, but while there was gossip and insinuation about the PE teachers back then, these days it's taken a bit more seriously. Who would want to open themselves up to that kind of thing now?
Back in the 80's it was communal showers. Given children go through puberty at different rates, the issue wasn't the teachers but the peers and who was going through puberty and who wasn't (yet)... and kids are brutal.

Mmm. That's really interesting. I'll politely agree to disagree. I'd have thought it is of paramount importance to model the kind of behaviour we would like to see in others. Treat people the way you would like to be treated by them.

So you’re a perv.

There is no male sexuality and I doubt there is any quality data on the sexuality of trans women.

Neutral for me but If I'd been trans it would have been awesome.
Wouldn't that depend upon which gender you have transitioned from/to and to which gender you are sexually attracted?

Yes. Being unnecessarily rude or actually losing your st at the students is very counterproductive to doing the job.

I'd love to see the Venn diagram of people who moan that kids don't respect teachers and people who insist that teachers shouldn't be expected to behave professionally towards their students.
