Slightly O/T but it must be incredibly disheartening / embarrassing when you share the political views of a certain group, and that group almost always behaves like a bunch of cretins in public

Isn't he the one who got dropped by his agent after some slightly iffy comments?

Not sure I'd be using him as my poster boy on this one.
IIRC he said the white guys scored after England lost against Italy in the Euros final while the black players who missed penalties got death threats & all manner of dogs abuse in the aftermath.

They eat ours as well. 99% of horse meat in England and Wales is exported abroad.

You have no outrage that the police use horses as weapons and endanger the horse's welfare?
That's an entirely separate debate.

We're in crazytown when people are literally unable to call out some scumbag trying to attack a Police horse.
Crazytown? The other day we had a Jewish person walking around doing nothing wrong and people on here saying it was correct the police threatened him with arrest to prevent a breach of the peace and for his own protection.
Because if he had walk into the group the expectation was that he would have been attracted and this was seen as normal. None of them condemned the group that would have attacked him as pathetic thug's.

This case the police decided for no real reason I can tell go in heavy handed antagonising a group just walking down a street.
From what I can tell the group posed no real threat to anyone they weren't attacking anything or anyone. But riot gear and horses were used, one horses goes into a group needlessly putting people in danger. Then one gets a bang on the nose and it's travesty.

I'm sure if the Jewish guy had walked into the crown and got a punch the people here crying about the horse would be saying "well it's his own fault what did he expect".

Where did the incident with the Jewish person doing nothing wrong happen? I know that Gideon Faulter repeatedly tried to disrupt the protest by walking into the group, going off the pavement to walk against the march and even tried to cross through it, before being stopped by police.
I'm also aware of a pro-Palestinian group who were stopped from going into a Jewish area, even though they weren't breaking any laws.

The St George's day patriots had gone off the agreed route and were outside the permitted area (all marches/protests are restricted to these). The police were trying to stop more breaching the perimeter.

You could say that about a lot of things in life... Normal people who share views / religious beliefs / a love of men with taught bottoms chasing a ball around a field etc should distance themselves from the swivel eyed / hook-handed / lager drinking nutters to avoid being lumped together.

So, I hold some views that align with Labour (possibly even the Momentum lot), some views that align with the GB News lot, but I can still treat people with contempt for the other views they hold. Frankly, this country would be much better if people didn't feel the urge to say x is 100% right and y is 100% wrong all the time. I suspect most people do actually feel that way, we're just less likely to post things in internet forums about it.

It is, it's very rich. Quite common in Switzerland (as a steak, on pizza, in salami, etc)

I had horse lasagne while working in Kazakhstan.

It was....chewy and contained vessels and valves and stuff. This may of course, be more a reflection of Kazakh cuisine, than dobbin au vin.

Yup, the Italians also serve it up, very tasty.
At least venison is available, my lads partners dad is a gamekeeper so a ready supply is available. Together with pheasant etc etc.

I don't suppose you were served what looked like squid rings, referred to as qarta?

Nope, I would have to be a contestant in ‘The Jungle’ to tempt me tbh laugh
Apparently the Chinese folk are turning away from dog on the menu. I don’t mind eating dobbin but draw the line at Patch or waffles.

When you've finished the rest of the horse and are still feeling peckish, I suppose.

Boiled and then pan-fried, but without any spices or seasoning so as not to spoil the natural...er...bouquet.
