Bankers are doing enough to destroy capitalism, can't see how they need a few crusties to help them out.

I think I might print off a load of fake £20 motes and throw them in their faces...
A mate and his colleagues at UBS photocopied £50 notes at the first reclaim the streets and threw them at the rioters below hehe
Your mate worked at UBS or your mate read Geraints book Cityboy and nabbed the quote from there?
the windows at UBS don't open (as is the case with most other buildings in the City and at CW).

Hmmm, i'm pretty sure i heard the same rumours when i was at UBS, except the soap-armed traders were at Commerzbank.

The story was doing the rounds back in 1999 when it happened, well before anyone had heard of cityboy or the crap "news"paper his article appeared in.

Back at the time it happened the story was it was on the roof, not out of the windows. Can't remember what firm it was supposed to be though, may have been more than one of course and I'd suggest more likely to be a broker than a bank. It's easy for instance to get out onto the terrace of the Bank of England, although I suspect it wasn't them.. And there was the spraying of champagne onto the crusties as well.

Didn't that lot invade some trading bank and get the st kicked out themselves by the (post-liquid-lunch) "barrow boys"?

That struck me as hilarious...
I think it was LIFFE IIRC... smile
Hehe. I was working round Cannon Street in the good ol' days. They set both escalators near the entrance to 'downhill mode' .. cue Swampy and Co trying to scrabble up the escalators and battling with LIFFE people at the top. laugh
That is genius! Loving their style.

I heard that in London the bankers were paid with real £50 notes, and drank champagne even when it wasn't their weddings or an 21st birthday.

Can you imagine it?

I'll go there, one day.

Don't worry in a few years a large percentage of the protesters will be working in the city and driving a boxster once daddy arranges them a decent job
