I suspect the perceived wisdom is that if one is white and expresses an opinion on the erosion of English/Anglo-Saxon culture, that person is automatically considered a racialist. Well it just ain't so. Most of the indegenous population happen to appreciate the traditions moulded over centuries by christian culture and do not wish for change to be foisted upon them by a noisy gang of incomers with alien cultures aided and abetted by a fifth column of PC camp-followers who are hell bent on changing our way of life for ever.
Saying 'there's too many blacks and asians here' is racism, sorry.

What English/Anglo-Saxon culture is being eroded? Can you give me an example? When is the start date for being classed as 'indigenous population'? What about people who were born here whose parents were also born here? Do they not count?

Personally feel that there are too many people from a set of countries say from around the equator, it is not racist to say this as being in a northern latitude, there is less need to be very dark skinned to withstand the intense sun, as there is not an intense sun

Try people who speak English as their primary language as a point of integration, when families have been here for a few generations and speaking English, then they could be classed as almost indigenous; traditionally the British peoples have been white and from European countries, maybe 500 miles off the coast and not 5000 miles or further...

Not too worried if people want funeral pyres out in the country, so that they can toast marshmallows on the fire, but not in towns, if it is not convenient, then too bad smile

This is either the greatest most sublime piece of humour I've seen in ages, or a laughably bad attempt at communication.

Agreed. But incidentally, being Welsh I don't appreciate you pesky Anglo-Saxons coming across here and diluting our culture. I think you should sod off back to where you came from wink
I was specifically referring to the English and England, you know, the nation that dare not say its name. What the others do is up to them. However I think it true to say that the Welsh and Scots, in their respective EU regions, are allowed to voice an opinion on preserving their "culture", unlike the English, who are not.

And how has Hinduism helped to establish the basic principles of those sciences, 'etc'?

I am not sceptical, mind - just curious.

I'm certainly no expert but I believe they were largely responsible for 'hindu-arabic' numerals which established the use of zero. Hindus were also doing rhinoplasty about 2500 years ago, along with a load of other surgical procedures. I think they also worked out how to calculate when eclipses would occur.

Smart bunch of people in many respects, although like any culture, they had their fair share of daft ideas too!

not really worried about what hindus did 2-3000 years ago, am interested if they are going to be toasting some old person on a firepit in their back garden, one reason why crematoria are used, to cut down on the smell

do it out in the countryside where it not matter as much

Interesting that you describe yourself as "Indian" - if you were born here you are British surely?

Assume they don't, and educate them.
The hindu's I've met were well brought up, repectful individuals who had a high moral code.

Mind you they were in fact INDIAN nationals and I was training them before they took our machines back to build product in the Punjab.

Nice Lads in spite of them 'stealing' our jobs.

Indian....working hard to be british in a year's time. Pay all taxes, get nothing back, paid 3 times local tuition fee when i came here, got the racist st from some losers, made good friends with others, worked from shop floorsas a student to middle management in different companies over 8.5yrs , started up a business, managing to survive...done the whole course, going to graduate in british life in a year!

So I guess when i say some immigrant people take the piss...and some just want to be left alone to live their lives....ive seen all sides of the argument!

Back to topic: funeral pyres are fine but not in back gardens..it is a nuisance to others no matter what your religious beliefs are! You dont get respect for your faith and culture if you blow smoke from burning corpses all over your neighbourhood....think about the limits of accomodating your culture from a viewpoint people of other cultures!!

Go for it i say. I quite fancy being burnt on an alter after I pass away.

Light by a flaming arrow though, obviously.

Note: I'm against pandering to ANY religious beliefs BTW. I just thought I'd point it out.

Yet none of the ‘oppressed silent majority’ has managed to answer this question……

Too many blacks and asians? What is this opinion based on exactly? Facts, statistics? No - Prejudice. I assume that these same people think that all English ex-pats in Spain, Australia, the US, etc. should be sent back here?

Back to the matter in hand: He’s asking to be cremated in line with his beliefs which, for Hindus, means on a funeral pyre. All religions have their own customs and, as long as they don’t interfere with anyone else, I believe they should be allowed to practice them.

This guy isn’t asking to be cremated in anyone’s back garden. He’s stated on more than one occasion that sites for such cremations should be in rural, non-publicly inhabited areas. How would this affect any of the people that are objecting on here? Seriously, I’d like to know because I can’t think of anything that would affect my way of life.

Also, I take offence to the “if they don’t want to fit in, send them back” crap that’s been spouted on here. This guy is an individual that has integrated into British society and is respected by all (not just Hindu/Asian) sides of the community in Newcastle and is the founder of the of the Anglo-Asian Friendship Society. He’s not some religious fundamentalist that is asking for all funerals in Britain to be conducted in this manner. So, why are people assuming he is? Prejudice.

'Elf anSafety knuts won't allow that either!
You might have a long wait for vultures too....unless they offer a service at longleat or chester zoo etc.
I know of someone in Cornwall who can rent you a pair of Vultures if that helps!
