I was listening to R5 the other day and they were discussing some new Robin Hood series that is upcoming. The reviewer was pointing out that in the new series Friar Tuck was black and that in 14th century England that would have been somewhat unusual. The presenter then apologised for the reviewers comments!

So, not one listener complained, and it has made the BBC news! confused

(It wouldn't be a cynical ploy by the radio station to garner free advertising for itself.......would it....!)

I'm sure +ve discrimination was alive and kicking in the 12th Century (14th?)
