"The 73-floor skyscraper at 1, Undershaft, will be 309.6m high when completed, making it on a par with the Shard in London Bridge, and will host a free public viewing gallery at the top, which can be accessed by lifts"

Well that's good to know

Interesting article in today's Guardian for you tower-spotters. I thought the walkie-talkie was bad, but the 'can of ham' runs it close.

It's amazing how the area has changed with The Shard, The Place or whatever the Murdoch building is called, and the new London Bridge Station.

In fact incredible to see how it has changed since 1970, in that time the station has been rebuild twice and a tower block has been built where The Shard now is and demolished. https://twitter.com/NetworkRailLBG/status/73071507...

I took that photo (which seems to have disappeared) from the Psychology department of London South Bank University.

Where were you standing, Apt?

A dissenting view on the Shard and other elements of the lack of planning around tall buildings in London

I think he has a point:

The Gruniad is reporting that many apartments are still unsold. Worth a cheeky bid?

From reading that article, they're happy to have sold none, lest they set a low price now as the benchmark. They're waiting for an upturn...
