Not bad at all, Croyde. For a floundering amateur.

As a powerfully built, managing director -cum- visionary photography person, I visited my financial advisor in the Barbican yesterday.

As luck would have it, our meeting room gave me a glimpse of the magnificent Shard.

Here again, in all its glory.

Why did you use only half of the available filter?

I'm presently toying with the concept "What IS a filter?"

What a rude question, you wouldn't ask Van Gogh why he chose a certain brush would you?

if you've never seen this- quite interesting. a tower larger than Effiel's, in wembley park.

only got to the first stage and the ground proved to be too unstable.
Spent quite a few good evenings in "Watkins Folly" bar near Wembley Park station mentioned in the article, now renamed as "Sara's Kitchen", and still a good place for a drink and decent food.

I don't come to London Town much, but as a budding David Bailey I wanted this landmark for my portfolio.

It's simply titled The Tower From The Tower. Feedback welcome:

Quite drunk, it was very late at night. I vaguely remember staggering off to the 24-hour McD at Charing Cross shortly afterwards

I can see the Shard and the other tall structures in the City 1/2 mile from my house ,at ground level ,Banstead Surrey.

Pics with potato cam will be rubbish.

Well spotted. That's what sets out the difference between you professionals and us amateurs.
