Building is now well underway in what promises to be the 1st of 14 new skyscrappers to be built in London that will transform the skyline into something resembling a US city.
Why? confused
confused Why what?

I wasn't saying that I wanted London's skyline to look like an American city merely that it was going to happen once these 14 new Skyscrappers are built.

Whether thats something to look forward to or not is down to personal choice.

Provided the designs are creative enough then it could be for the best.

It'll be a fantastic looking backdrop for the Olympics/London, but they are cutting it very fine.

The Shard is due for completion in May 2012.

Apparently the Shard might be the first of small cluster of tall buildings to be built in and around that particular site - much like the City cluster. The same developer has plans for 2 more 'pointy' residential towers of 250 & 200 metres respectively. Renders will become available soon.
