IIRC BBC News reported this morning that the Kercher parents were awarded 1,000,000 Euros, Meredith's siblings 800,000 Euros, and the African guy that Knox initially accused 40,000 Euros. They also reported that none of these people were likely to get a cent. Knox's earning potential isn't too good now, and her parents are (allegedly) pretty much broke and wondering where they'll get the money for the appeal. I think they said it's cost them about a million to date.

Why the feck shouldn't they accept 'a single Euro' in compensation? The Kerchers have conducted themselves with civility and decency throughout the trial, unlike Knox's needy parents.
