I think Owen Jones has by far been the best speaker

Yep. What a tit Jones is. Speaking for the working man now?
Wonder how many days' (real) work he's done in his life...
He worked as a trade union rep, then a researcher for the Labour Party, then straight into writing shouty left-wing bile for the Guardian and the Independent. Says it all really, no concept of the real world.Wonder how many days' (real) work he's done in his life...
It's fascinating how he has managed to "ascend" to his current position of rent-a-gob mouthpiece, supposedly representing people he has absolutely no association with.
Strange.

He's just over 30 years old, so very very little life experience.Shouldn't he be banging on about Glastonbury, or whatever young people
enthuse about these days ?
While I can see that the Guardian needs its quota of young staffers,
putting him on a semi-serious political show is IMHO a clear mistake
by the programme planners.
Was Russell Brand unavailable ?

It's a very poor panel when Owen Jones is the most impressive performer.
Why pose an EU referendum question without a single Eurosceptic on the panel?
Indeed. As ever, they focused in on trade and didn't consider the EUWhy pose an EU referendum question without a single Eurosceptic on the panel?
as a superstate under construction.
I also thought the business lady made the intelligent point that since we
have so much legislation protecting the worker and their rights these days,
why do unions still exist ?
The business world has moved on from Victorian days.
He did manage to land a punch on Nicky Morgan when she started spouting statistics rather than trying to explain their NHS policy. She was claiming x number new GPs under the Coalition and he pointed out that it takes at least 7 years to train a GP and they were only in power for 5 years so shouldn't be taking the credit.
Whether he's right or not (I presume there are other ways of boosting GP numbers) she looked completely stumped in that muppet syle she has.
I'm not a fan of his by any means but it's a sorry state of affairs when he is one of the few offering any kind of effective opposition.

I'd take a guess most of those new GPs come from abroad. Owen probably keeps those stats on tap to discredit any good that was done under the coalition!Whether he's right or not (I presume there are other ways of boosting GP numbers) she looked completely stumped in that muppet syle she has.

He certainly was by far the most vociferous. Why pose an EU referendum question without a single Eurosceptic on the panel?
You are not the only one who saw what the BBC did there. No balance at all .... even BBC's version of balance.

Rightwingers say Owen Jones no good!
Clearly he is getting his message across. Good man.
The fact that some lefties see Owen Jones as being their voice tells you everything you need to know about why Labour got their arses handed to them on May 7th.Clearly he is getting his message across. Good man.
There's as much chance of Labour getting a majority next time as there is of seeing Lord Lucan knitting fog while galloping down the Mall on Shergar, while these people supposedly speak on behalf of the working man.
Long may it continue, I say.
