Instead of giving me $hit, how about answering the question.
It's simple - has anyone asked, or haven't they?
When we get an answer directly from IS, then we'll know for sure if the government are talking bks or not.
The caliphate is a fairly explicit statement of intent, recreating the era of Muhammad in the prime of his Napoleon complex, conquering places left, right and centre and slaughtering unbelievers like cattle. There are all the crys of allahu akbar as the latest dupe of the death cult futilely attempts to achieve immortality by proving the exact opposite. They also dubbed themselves the Islamic State, which is perhaps the broadest indication that they think they're islamic. It's simple - has anyone asked, or haven't they?

Thank you.
Why are we constantly fed the 'this has nothing to do with Islam' line by those in power?
Because religion is make-believe.Why are we constantly fed the 'this has nothing to do with Islam' line by those in power?
Look in the bible and try to find things that the Church of England doesn't do any more because society has moved along. There are a lot of things. For example, the King James edition says
God said:
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
But the CofE sweeps that under the carpet. Islam is even worse in this respect because Islamic law is hundreds of years of sometimes contradictory jurisprudence piled on top of Mohammed's teachings.
It doesn't really matter from which era you take your examples of Islamic text or what origin or section of Islamic writings you select, like all religions that ever were it doesn't take long to find an opposing argument in the same 'book' because that's the way it's intended - all things to all men and all part of the mind control of the masses. One thing that's pretty common in Western religions is the commandment not to kill. That's the most obvious bit that, by it's non-observance, lays the ghost holy or not, about Isis being a religious organisation. It is political and the term terrorist is particularly apt.
A recent directive from Ofsted to child-minders, notably children from age 6, require the minders to watch out, and log, for tell-tale subversive language as an early indicator of radicalisation. So at least something at last is being recognised and done.
A huge percentage of our behaviour is learned (read instilled) by those around us – this in any instance could be considered ‘radicalising’ (every one of our governments since Magna Carta has considered itself ‘Radical’) – some of it good, some not so good, depending on your point of view. The word radicalised has now become as abused as many others because of constant misuse by publicity seekers.
In the case of Ofsted, it is really looking for early signs of familial environments showing vocal influences on very young children which, as the children get older, can only grow with them – laying the foundation for a mind-set of future terrorists. How many children learn offensive language from their parents to the great amusement of aunts and uncles? The principle of ‘nipping it in the bud’ is being used.
It all sounds ridiculous but there is a valid reason behind it although would-be defenders of free speech/democracy will no doubt have a field day!
