Did Farron just advocate paying a minimum wage of £12 per hour?

Grim. Tim Farron is like a grown up Owen Jones. The MSP guy didn't seem to know alot. And then the Labour and Tory clones trotting out the same sound-bytes.

Schaema on next week. He's a Corbyn type of speaker and requires adults on the panel to allow him to get his point across, his eloquence and easy going nature can sometimes count against him if there are too many tts on the panel. He is water to Lord Starkey's oil. biggrin
I hope the tt count is low.

For once a reasonably balanced panel tonight.

Good grief, that's practically biased to the right!?! No doubt the audience will have a collective fit of the vapours.

Couple of full helmets in there. Simon is good though. Don't know the others.

Roger Helmer is a hatstand libertarian UKIPper, Amber Rudd appears to be a tory wet, Rod Liddle is quite reactionary these days, I assume that the other woman is a labour or libdem of some kind.

Anti-EU feeling running strong in this crowd.

I would have guessed that Simon's response would go well over the heads of the audience. They normally do. biggrin

Nice to see Schaema get excited and stick it to that Lidl manager.

It's quite a polarised panel and crowd I think.

The shouty conservative lady is extremely annoying!

The law says that people should claim asylum in the first safe country they reach. Nobody who comes here from Calais is a genuine refugee and none of them can claim they are fleeing persecution as the French don't persecute people.

Fvck me, why does nobody query why they are so desperate to get to the UK?

If they were merely fleeing the danger of Syria, they'd stop running in Greece/France/Germany.
