What arrogant words and disconcern for people who are up to their necks in problems. So they are drowning in the Med for fun they like swimming? I've never lived or survived in a camp but the last thing I should think is education for these people.Sanitation, food a decent bed to sleep in is their no1 priority. They are in survival mode fleeing warzones. The more I hear UKIP Candidates the less human I feel.
Where have I displayed 'disconcern'? The great emoting of previously ignorant bleeding hearts when that wretched child was drowned and his body recovered from a turkish beach sickened me; what did they care about these people before then? I've been donating to charities giving aid to displaced syrians since the war started. Don't presume about whether or not I care. The child and his family had been living in Turkey, which is a safe country and is not at war; he, his brother and mother drowned not because they were fleeing war but because the father was unwise in his choice of transport to Greece. Merkel and every other person endorsing her open invitation has blood on their hands, the blood of all the innocent and foolhardy who have drowned crossing to the EU since then on glorified lilos or rotten ex-fishing boats. If the european countries not paying their UNHCR dues were to do so, there would not be shortages of food and other basics in the refugee camps, reducing the motivation to risk their lives crossing the Med.

+1, although it's painful to come to that conclusion, more painful to say it. Whatever the cause, it's a tragedy that needs to be addressed by fewer bleeding hearts and more practical solutions than tinkering at the edges of consciences.

Erm...
It's called the tax-credit tax, innit.
4 Kids and yes benefit

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/11935413/...
Seems to have backfired on her and the newspapers are on her case.

£400 a week in benefits and turning over about £200 a week in her 'business', though that's all 'ploughed back into advertising' except there's little evidence of that.

She should have kept her mouth shut.

lol!

£150 a week is not a business...

That old bat was fairly dishing out the death stare; she wasn't having any of it, St. Watson of Thomas is without sin and shall not apologise for owt.

Whereas in reality, however laudable his actions are in the collective effort to get historic crimes investigated, massaging his ego by character assassination of people is an abuse of parliamentary privilege and demeans the victims of abuse he's been working to obtain justice for.
Portillo was good, so was the old bat.

This issue is now on the Sunday Politics. Aaronvitch discussing, he seems balanced.

this will make you laugh, she was on trying to defend the current voting system that's created massive voting fraud in North London boroughs trying to suggest that the changes being pushed requiring people to re-register themselves at their addresses etc is going to mean genuine voters will be stripped of their democratic rights,

Yea, right, all those nice imaginary voters that keep you in parliament then?

It's been in the news most of the week that she won't lose anything in the cuts.

As long as she isn't lying about the amount she 'earns' from her cuticle company, that is...........
