I'm not sure what Daily Politics you all watched; Brillo gave her all rope she wanted and she hanged herself with it, plenty of time to comment about the other petition etc. but she blathered on about her child instead.

Sadly - as a fan of O'Neill notwithstanding his aggressive and impatient style, a daily watcher of the show and as someone who despises her - I think you are wrong. He let himself down this time, trying too hard to drop her into a pigeonhole to trap her, trying to submit someone who wouldn't give in as easily as most of his victims and then letting emotion/antipathy come into play. Despite her extreme and hateful views I think she bested him in this exchange.

Not the same as you it would appear. I like AN but the episode I saw had him shouting her down and forcibly giving his opinion rather than listening to hers. Funny how the same thing can be seen so differently.

Where were the raised voices? She lost the argument and meandered off into mithering about her infant.

Did she reference the bogus '400k' number?

I'm not out to defend her, but that doesn't characterise the full debate. At all. O'Neil tried to trap her into making (more) specific claims and in doing ignored the wider point she was making. He may not have been shouty, but he let his irritation show. I'd bet he wouldn't, in review, describe that interview as his finest hour.

No, she only mentioned by way of complaint that he was deliberately ignoring 'the other petition'.
It was after that he lost his temper. He usually uses words like scalpels and has gobsters waffling and flailing. I think the episode told more about AN than it did about KH, she actually came off as being bullied and the injured party. Must have badly injured his already inflated ego to be trounced by someone he hates.

Well, at least one of them will make reasoned, cogent arguments based on fact and rational thinking. He'll probably get booed.

Guess who that'll be.

Piers Morgan is morphing into Peter Hain - remarkable resemblance. Speaks the same amount of st as well. Some proper oddballs in the audience tonight - explains why it's quiet on this thread...

I think that if you think that then you are well off beam. Some, fair enough. Most, maybe. All, no.

Fair enough, but you stated that they were all cretins. They aren't. Well, not all of them.
