Could be accidental? was washing his sports bag in the bath when he decides to do some spontaneous hair pruning with a cut throat, cuts himself badly, faints, falls in the bag...the rest is history

My first thoughts; Murderer kills man and folds him up and stuffs him in sports bag to aid decomposition due to heat and gas retention within body. Secured bag retains smell of decomposing flesh; note no indication that police alerted by neighbours following fly infestation or pongs.

Enclosing decomposition aids destruction of forensics and cause of death and being placed in bath prevents natural fluids/juices from decomposing body from seaping through floor into neighbouring flat below and alerting occupants to dead body.

Professional hit IMHO. Wouldn't be surprised if he was a double agent or Foreign agent under suspicion by UK Security Services. Foreign agents found out and assassinated man to stop him talking and identifying spy ring and handler(s).

On second thoughts; he could've just been playing hide and seek with a girlfriend/boyfriend/pet alsation and hid in his sports bag, couldn't get out and suffocated. If this is correct then I can't explain the bath bit unless his seeker thought a shower would make it easier to get him out of the confines of the bag. But he died before it could be done.

Of course this all sounds rather silly so I prefer to go with my first thoughts.

it suggests poor planning and an inexperienced killer.
How awful, I think we should demand that our spooks are given only experienced killers from now on. I think a Government petition is needed for this, it's just unacceptable that our secret services are having to put up with amateurs, I bet the US secret servicemen and women that are murdered get a better service.

Stuffing a body into a bag then leaving it a bath at the murder scene is unusual.

I see the Sunday Times is reporting that he was well known on the Vauxhall gay scene and are speculating that it could have been a lover. Who knows the truth but cannot wait to see what the cause of death was!

I find it odd, perhaps somewhat alarming, that it was initially widely reported that the house was owned by the company known to be behind many of MI6's safe houses.
That such information is widely known seems startling.

Not exactly the same as the old Oxbridge/007 spying set is it? No wonder our agents are getting offed and left in bath tubs.

So, are these experts as valid as the bloke down the pub whose brother knows someone in the SAS?
