Obviously being a PHer I am a died in the wool Tory thumbup but it seems that I have a vote in the leadership election thanks to being a trade union member.

So, who should I vote for to screw up the Labour party as much as possible? biggrin

(BTW, the pictures in the booklet make me want to punch them, smug self satisfied gits. Haven't managed to read more than a paragraph of each without superheating my urine)

Current thinking is bin it all and try and forget about it, I'm not sure I can bring myself to put a cross in any of their boxes frown

Diane Abbot.

She's a first class loon. She's the PC candidate of choice, too, so she might even make it.

Ed Balls has no chance. It will be a Milliband, IMO, unless Diane pulls off a miracle. hehe

And she'll see to their utter unelectability for a decade...

I voted for Abott (in your poll above).

But... be careful what you wish for... Imagine her as PM. I would ACTUALLY have to leave the country frown

Depends, she might generate the Obama Effect and have the majority of the ethnic vote which could heavily sway an election due to voter apathy.

Abbot. Can't bear to watch the fat sack of manure, she is just so condecending and a perfect example of Champagne Socialism.

As has been said, if her or Balls get the post then i think it's fair to say that Labour will be consigned to the wilderness for at least a couple of terms. Unfortunately i think we all tknow that the winner will be Millipede senior....the only half electable one of the bunch.

I get the impression that the Unions' choice would be Balls, but Abbott would be a far clearer vote loser. So I voted for her.

Abbott. Without a doubt. Balls a close second. In reality , they are all useless little turds.

The danger I can see is that the coalition don't get the country turned round enough and we get a Labour government next election.

I would absolutely LOVE Abbott to win.

How funny would it be?

Funny watching from Switzerland as the country is run into the ground and sterling becomes ever weaker? Perhaps.

Actually living through it? The masochism is clearly strong in you - when you are out of work never fear a new career as a gimp awaits...

The country would leave the country, she'd be left treading water.

They're all barking and somewhat detached from reality to say the least.

Oddly, Mrs SWH got a vote too (Musician's Union)... and you have to tick a box saying you're not affiliated to another political party, at that point it came out of the shreder pile and she promptly wrote on it, "I wouldn't vote for any of you communist scum, even if you paid me." It's in the to-be-posted pile now.

My vote is also through the MU, and it was that box that riled me. I can't find anything anywhere saying the MU is affiliated to the Labour party, but if it were a Tory leadership campaign would I get a vote for that?

I assume the check box is to stop people like me skewing the vote, or are they really affiliated to Labour? Trouble is, I have to be a member mad

That Andy Burnham was on Nick Ferarri's show on LBC yesterday saying he would take Labour back to "old Labour" which as we know is basisly communism. If Diane Abbot got elected and found herself living at no 10 (the door would have to made a foot wider)I would seriously consider moving abroad!

Could you imagine her policy's? She would probably ban men and white people from the country.
