Hahaha - what is this country coming to when 'he' can become the leader of the opposition and technically be in with a shout to become the Prime Minister.

"He beat brother David by the wafer thin margin of 50.65% to 49.35% after second, third and fourth preference votes came into play.

Ed Balls was third, Andy Burnham fourth and Diane Abbott last in the ballot of Labour members and trade unionists.

Mr Miliband, 40, replaces acting leader Harriet Harman in the contest triggered by the resignation of Gordon Brown.

He paid tribute to each of his fellow candidates in turn and told the conference: "Today we draw a line under this contest and move forward united as a team."

The shadow energy secretary appears to have benefited from a last-minute surge of support before voting in the postal ballot closed on Wednesday.

Older brother David won a majority of support from Labour's MPs at Westminster, but appears to have been defeated due to Ed's dominance among trade unions and grassroots activists in Labour's electoral college voting system."

Nice clear cut majority there. Bet Call Me and that other guy can't wait to fire that back in their faces.

Don't get your knickers in a twist, they do have a service called "The News" that they usually use for this kind of thing, they even have a 24hr news service for those who really need to watch every second of it rather than a special programme all about it on BBC2 whilst the news is on at the same time on BBC1.

Retarded socialist beats other celebrally deficient socialists, by getting people who vote Labor and stand at pickets a lot to vote for him!

Its a shame this even matters.

Front page of the BBC's world news page. That seems proportionate...

Let's not laugh too much though. We've still only got a half arsed Tory/Lib coalition government and this pillock could be PM in 12 months time.

He said in his first speech as Labour leader that he was very proud of Gordon Brown's legacy. That says it all for me and should ring alarm bells for every sane voter.
