Anyone seen this?

The makers (Richard Curtis and friends) have apologised, but sometimes an apology isn't enough.

Unbelievable.

Riiiiiiight. Not sure what to make of that.

If emotional blackmail is the only way people are being encouraged to cut carbon usage (all the other gases are feeling a bit left out btw) then it can't really be that big a deal now, can it?

Still, gives the celebrities an excuse to no longer feel guilty about their over-indulgent lifestyles.

That has just confirmed in my mind that I will never listen to another word of CO2 bullst ever again. Utterly unbelievable, can't begin to understand what they thought that would ever achieve.

A wind up by who?

Massively misjudging the public mood then claiming it's a publicity stunt is not a wind up.

They really are idiots but unfortuntley the idea of chasing across the internet trying to find the movie is probably what they wanted in the first place.

It wasn't until I got 3/4 of the way through that film that I realised that it wasn't skeptics parodying warmists.

Groupthink at its worst. The film must have been seen by dozens of people before release and none of them realised how ridiculous it was.

Maybe they were too scared to say anything...

Curtis using his comedy past to try and be funny, right on and clever all at the same time.

Ends up parodying the wrong target. With a bit of creative editing it could be funny.

Yup! But then I didn't need the above mentioned to reinforce that belief. Mind, if there are sceptics out there, then this has to be a good thing. wink

It's amazing but maybe predictable that they should draw a parallel with other religious fanatics who also lean towards murdering heretics and infidels in the bloodiest manner possible - preferably using explosives.

When did the creativity behind Blackadder descend to "That 'keel them' thing those RAF pilot guys do is funny. I'll nick it."

The thing that also really annoys me is the text at the end.

"Cut your carbon emissions by 10%"

I may be having a blonde moment here, but I don't get the "10:10" thing. One 10 is for 10 percent, what's the other 10 for?

From the article:

"Franny Armstrong, 10:10 founder, said the shock tactics were justified. “We 'killed’ five people to make No Pressure - a mere blip compared to the 300,000 real people who now die each year from climate change.” "

Where has this come from?
