...gets two years and 8 months.

What's the phrase I'm looking for?

Oh I know.

Hope his bumhole when comes out looks like the inside of the Mersey tunnel. Not such a big man now, I guess. Bet he wishes he'd stay at home with a Pot Noodle and Countdown.

Now lets give that Gilmour prick the same treatment.

Justice. Nice and swift as well.

I'm quite impressed, even if he does get out after 16 months.

I presume as it was a violent crime he won't be eligible for an open prison too quickly, or for release under tagging?

Even his mum has sense:

His mother Tania Garwood, 37, who lives in Dibden Purlieu, in the New Forest, Hampshire, said she fears the incident has ruined his life. She told The Times: "What he has done is a terrible and awful thing which he is paying for now and we all are.

"I brought up my children to take responsibility for their actions and he has. I believe he deserves to be punished. I just hope it is the right punishment.

"He is a loving, caring, gentle man. He has got a lot to give, he has got a lot to learn. I hope he has got the chance to continue his education and it hasn't ruined his life."

I like the irony that he now won't be able to go to Uni before the new system kicks in and he will have to pay the increased tuition fees.

(And, on a sidenote, his Mum looks fit, was his father Shrek?) smile

Well it's an interesting variation on the 'year out' - instead of sharing showers with sweaty backpackers ..

Quite. If you think about the rough scallies that get into these hovels think about him in there - a toff student! He's in for a proper rough time.

Good news that he got time etc....but why is everyone so interested in him getting raped?

I don't think that punishment quite fits the crime. smile

18-21 is classed as young offender for prison purposes... 21 + is "adult"
Seems fair. Young Offender institutions are no beds of roses...

Question - do young offenders get allowed to apply for open prison, or do they serve their whole term in a young offenders prison?

He missed hitting the plod by sheer fortune, he didn't deliberately miss. The intent was there, so he wanted to at least injure a PC. Therefore, a bit of 'rough treatment' in jail is fine by me...

Hopefully biggrin

Cannot see him having much love from the prison officers either considering what he did to a cop wink

I think you will find a serving MP is about to go down.

Eric Illsley member for Barnsley Central has just changed his plea to guilty on three charges of false accounting.
