Climate change - the POLITICAL debate.
Discussion
Us humans are inherently inclined to harm Mother Gaia, but we can be saved and gain some sort of absolution for our sins, by trying to repair the damage caused by our sinful nature. Given that viewpoint, it’s not difficult to see why we’re the one species on Earth so many of them are keen to cull.

That's "Climate Chaos", that is.A Lib Dem junior energy minister on News 24 this morning defended the rise in bills by saying that this will wean us from expensive and potentially unstable energy supplies from abroad. This cried out for the BBC anchor to ask whether that meant the government was committed to exploit our abundant shale gas reserves?
Of course, the question was not asked.

That's interesting. Drove through that area about 11 months ago on a delightful and quite warm spring morning. We had also driven through the Snowy Mountain ski resorts area further south the week before - the season was clearly over.
Last winter/spring in Aus, especially the Sydney area and, of course, the places further north that were severely flooded a while earlier, had been cool and cloudy and wet for almost the entire season. This year I was told a week ago that they had had 60 days straight with sunshine and the temps were in the low 30s C.
Most interesting weather patterns. I wonder what the full summer will bring?

Anyone else hear the boss of British Gas on R4 this morning? He was saying that of the typical increase on annual bills of £80, £25 was due to the cost of supporting Gov't green energy nonsense.
Good. Let's hope the public actually get told this stuff more so they work out the reason they will be cold this winter is due to Global Warming.....Britain’s New Power Game: UK Government To Dodge Climate Change Targets
The Times can reveal that the Government wants to sidestep climate change targets in an effort to stem soaring electricity prices. In an exclusive interview, Ed Davey, the Energy Secretary, said that he wanted to introduce a loophole which would allow new fossil fuel plants to be built. Mr Davey argues that consumers could be spared the cost of subsidising new wind farms and nuclear reactors by building new gas plants, which would be offset by other parts of the economy, such as transport, going green more cheaply. But the idea will anger environmental groups, who warn that it will undermine green targets and deter investment in low carbon energy generation.

Damn these Lib Dems. It's like saying that roads in terrible condition are a brilliant way of weaning us off sports cars and not repairing them is therefore a very environmentally-friendly policy.a_bread said:

Ironically, this season has been one of the best for snow in years, but such good conditions are becoming the exception.
The morons are so brainwashed and in denial that they ignore the evidence staring them in the face. God, how dumb can one get?Spiritual_Beggar said:
