Thanks for the link, Don.

Amazed to read that this regional US student mag covered the citing of England U21 players in Serbia. Also the cartoon linking 'frankenstorm' to 'bride of frankenstorm' = Global Warming!

Slightly odd unless there are Brits on the editorial staff having a laugh ....

On the other hand Mrs. Clinton is travelling in that area at the moment so they probably have automatic news feeds flowing in to them for anything local to where she is operating. Probably based on a keyword like "yugoslavia".

Sandy = spawn of AGW?

How strange - still going up. You would have thought it would've stabilized by now if it were random wouldn't you whistle

Some recent comments on WUWT:

- NO – 66.47%, yes – 33.53% – the power of the WUWT community!

- Vote early. Vote often…

- I never saw a poll result change so fast as when this one came to the attention of skeptical readers. “Power to the Posse”.

But if the mass of the population believed in MMGW this would swamp out any attempt to sway the result, the mood on the ground is that people are starting to talk about MMGW and most of it is very negative,
KP keep the faith , but you are in a shrinking church of believers.

'Prof Roger Pielke Jr has authored an essay in yesterday's Wall Street Journal that put the kibosh on the "new normal" meme seen [in the media]. As Pielke clearly shows, hurricanes like Sandy are not the "new normal" and the data tells us the USA is in a hurricane "drought."'

What the Dickens is the Point of Green Inspired Fuel Poverty

Young families in Britain face the toughest winter since the 1850s, an expert warned yesterday. Millions will be plunged into the kind of fuel poverty last seen in Dickensian times because of the relentless rise in energy bills, it is feared. Financial commentator Jasmine Birtles said: “A quarter of young households will significantly struggle to make ends meet over the coming months.”
Western Daily Press, 30 October 2012

Don't Keep the Faith

Britain’s Energy Minister John Hayes said policy should not be based on some ‘bourgeois left article of faith.’

Ah well now you're commenting on what the poll is about and I haven't gone there. I don't agree that believers in MMGW would vote yes necessarily. I wouldn't. This poll is for the super-certain on both sides of the aisle (but one bunch have the nerve to call themselves 'sceptics'). Properly run public opinion polls do not agree with your 'shrinking church' assertions either. You keep the faith too PRTVR.

I think you're being a little blinkered here Kerplunk.

I'm surprised the warmists can muster up 30% on the yes vote to be honest, I'd have thought it would've been closer to 10% yes/90% no. I would guess they've been canvassing for votes in a more fanatical fashion than the realists given that they are fanatical about this issue and are far more likely than realists to take the time to vote at all. That's why the 'yes' appears overly supported.

Of course the Disciples Of Gore would never rig a poll, cherry pick data, withhold information, hide emails, lie, fabricate evidence, make up a hockey stick to support their goals, would they?

I'm sure the WUWT crowd will get it there eventually biggrin

I think you have a warped view of what 'warmists' think. I seriously doubt any of the pro-AGW sites I take notice of would canvass their readership for votes on such a simplistic YES/NO poll. I would find it extremely disappointing if they did and expect lots of others to think so too and say so.

Look guys please be fair to KP - he's had a busy time of late trying to find out where that missing warming went for the past 15 years. He's still not found it, so have a heart.

What you mean like the questions used to base the false assertion about scientific consensus on?

How very noble!

This vid produced by your mates is pretty unacceptable in terms of 'putting the argument across'

Agree?

oh look a squirrel.

The video (by Ben Elton iirc) is trying to use black-humour to grab attention but was rather chronically misjudged and failed to get many laughs - a real face-palm moment (which of course makes it very funny)

Mayor Bloomberg of New York is endorsing Obama because he says he has the right ideas on climate change. He seems to be blaming Sandy on climate change.
All according to C4 News.
