great frown And, IMO, this is the problem with trying to fight a war remotely. Boots on the ground is more costly for our troops but I would imagine that incidences like this ^^^ might be rarer

Didn't they make a massive fuss about the Russians doing this not too long ago?

US fighters warning off Russian bombers interdicting moderate Islamist fighters, sorry terrorists.

The entire strategy of the Western nations is confused and prolonging the war.

The United States would reconsider providing aid to Syrian opposition group Nour al-Din al-Zenki if reports are confirmed that members of the faction beheaded a child, US Department of State spokesperson Mark Toner said in a briefing.

They are only moderately Islamic fundamentalist, as opposed to the fully fundamentalist crazies.

Our great Wahabist allies, the Saudis are showing the way after all.

Al Qaeda / Al Nusra are the new moderates, no chance of them turning on Europe or the West at all, no Sirree.

It only appears confused if one takes the US government at its word.

Are these the good moderate rebels that we like or are they the bad guys?

I suppose this was an easy mistake to make - I mean who hasn't beheaded a 10 year old in error before.

Gruesome video footage has emerged of Syrian rebels beheading a young boy, in what leaders of the group involved called an "individual mistake."

The video that emerged on social media showed a visibly frightened boy lying in the back of a truck alongside what appeared to be several rebel fighters

Well these are the rebels fighting for freedom and democracy aren't they so they're the good guys who believe in the real Islam, the one of peace, not that 'wrong' Islam the other few bunch of nutters follow? I'm sure it's an honest mistake.

Syrian refugees complaining about where they have been housed in Scotland, surely it's better than Syria and you should be relived that your family is now safe, housed and fed.

He was just a fking kid. What the hell brings someone to do that? The article suggests that the rebels deem it to be a simple error, like a clerical error or a little faux pas, no not the depraved torture and horrific murder of a young child.
A fking child.

Can't quite see the logic behind putting them in Bute in the first place - high unemployment, almost no other ethnic minorities there, etc.

well if you put all the immigrants in one place that's also not necessarily a good idea

Well they can hardly be accused of failing to integrate or adapt to the local culture.

I have thought about this, and I must conclude that if it were me, my family's safety would be the highest priority. I would be so relieved and grateful that we were all together, away from a warzone and safe from the fear of death, and in a country that will house and feed my family when I have nothing at all.

One may conclude that they were not in that much danger to begin with if they feel the need to complain about the location and its population. If the story is true.

Turkish Authorities Seek to Avoid Responsibility for Downing Russian Warplane, Blame “Pilot’s Personal Decision”

Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek told journalists on July 25 that the decision to shot down the Russian warplane conducting an anti-terrorist operation in Syria in November 2015 was a personal decision of the Turkish pilot.

The decision was taken personally by the pilot,” he said, adding that “Turkey has no hostile feelings to Russia, and will never have.”
