So we have an ISIS friendly loose cannon rolling around on NATO's gun deck - Turkey.

We don't trust Assad, Putin, or ISIS. And Al Qaeda are a fluffy "moderate" group

Merkel is overrunning Europe with Muslims and wants Turkey fast tracked into the EU.

I need a fking lie down.
It's for another thread, but has occurred to me that if Cameron is waiting for the "right time" for his EU referendum he'd be as well setting it for next week,as I don't see the EU getting any more attractive for the next couple of years.

Reading that, a thought crossed my mind briefly that perhaps Turkey staged this shooting down of the Russian jet in the hope that Russia would retaliate and we would end up fighting amongst each other, thus taking the heat off ISIS friendly countries.

But that's pure tin foil hat territory, surely..

Strange how they had a film crew ready and waiting.

Russia doing a good job taking out the trash. Good job they are engaged in this part of Syria for some reason we call these guys moderates. Staggering,

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3334635/Lo...
They only moderately fly jets into buildings, they only moderately cut off heads, they only moderately cut off hands, they only moderately practice mass slavery, they only moderately practice sexual slavery, they only moderately practice paedophilia, they only commit moderate genocide on non-muslims.

These are genuine moderates, unlike that crazy ISIS lot.

I did hear that the moderate Islamists that we like actually use NERF guns to avoid civilian casualties and that they don't fire any cylindrical explosive packed unguided weapons, instead they throw frisbeeslaughlaughlaughlaughlaughlaughlaughlaughlaugh

Who is attacking Syria?

Certainly not Assad, he is working with them: http://time.com/3719129/assad-isis-asset/
Certainly not Russia (except for a few token strikes) they are more interested in the people fighting Assad.
Certainly not Saudi, Qatar etc. They are all brother Wahhabis with ISIS.
Certainly not Turkey, they bomb the Kurds mainly (except for a few token strikes)
Certainly not USA/UK, ISIS are integrated into the civilian community and we have very strict rules about collateral damage. Our GR4s often land back at Akrotiri with a full fit of Brimstones still on their hard points. When we do succeed it is usually against individual pick up trucks. Each Brimstone costs us more than £100K and more than double that to deliver it.

You cannot win an asymmetrical war from the air. ISIS are loving this, their attackers are the most effective worldwide recruiting tool they have. There are more than 400K Arabs in the world, the vast majority of whom sympathise with ISIS. This is not a problem that bombs fix.

Cameron is retarded using the RAF to attack Syria. They will make no positive difference, will put RAF assets at risk, invite retaliation here in the UK from ISIS and will waste billions of our money. Why can't he learn from his huge mistakes in Libya?

it depends, I guess UK could add valuable assets, it's also fair to share the burden with other countries fighting ISIS

I wasn't watching TV on Thursday, what did CMD say when he was setting out his "compelling case" for bombing in Syria? This article has a 1 min clip about how bad ISIS are, which I don't really disagree with but it didn't really explain what end Cameron hopes to achieve through the means of bombing.

The rabbit hole that is ISIS oil gets deeper. A long article but shows the many faces of the ISIS income.

The shooting down of the Russian plane has prompted the shining of a light into the murky dealings. It seems to be leading to some unexpected places.

So apparently, according to the Kurds, the US do not have 'boots on the ground'.

Mainly because the US Soldiers are wearing trainers.

Wow they really are taking filming the fighting to new levels.

No gore or even anybody getting hit just incredible footage. Shame the tank didn't go splat though.

I like how they shot up their own tank with the coax machine gun at the end.
