Calm down, it's only for logistics support and not all at once.

We're not about to see a 21st Century Rommel rolling across vast swathes of Syrian desert.

Two barrel bombs target MSF hospital.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/dec/01/syria...

I wonder if this will get as much TV coverage as the recent hit on similar by US forces.

Somehow I don't think so.

Any reasons why?

You know, when you use such propaganda with terms like "barrel bombs" you lose all credibility because it shows your agenda is more important than the facts.

The vote is tomorrow and will probably go through.

I expect there'll be increased security in London and major sports events etc. I just hope they haven't forgotten to bolster the defences for our chaps at Akrotiri in Cyprus.

I wouldn't put it past these twunts to turn up and try to destroy a few Tornys. Hopefully, the migrant boat showing up in November has woke a few senior figures up.

Early on, when two or three (?) entire Iraqi divisions abandoned their weapons and shiny new US equipment and fled from a few hundred ISIS fighters, I remember thinking "where's Yakov Pavlov when you need him?".

Driller,

I disagree.

This independent journalist based in Beirut us stating this in the title.

One could say this is biased, or sensationalist however in this case MSF themselves offer further information and state that a helicopter dropped said bomb.

Who's credibility are you talking about now?

It was amazing wasn't it? Billions of dollars spent on arms and training and they threw down their weapons at a trice.

Makes you wonder if they were infact sympahhetic to ISIS' goals and objectives, the speed at which they gave up the fight and promptly vanished.

Or am I being too cynical?

Darius (Greeks might not be too keen), Alexander or Zhukov might be the better option.

"Barrel Bombs", "Double tap". Emotive terms, not at all important in the discussion but powerful propaganda for the easily led msm consumers.

You're credibility in this thread.

Barrel Bomb is a good description of what they use, it is an anti personnel weapon and very indiscriminate when used in confined spaces such as a city.
Its use is no more inaccurate than AP Mine or Cluster Bomb.

Propaganda and poppycock!

Do you think the rockets, or projectiles or bullets uses by the rebel groups somehow select their target by themselves?

War is terrible and a disgrace and hundreds of thousands have dies since the start of this meaningless conflict.

What exactly is it that people feel is worse about dropping high explosives in a barrel as compared to a tube, casing or any other vessel?

There is a very good new Vice documentary on youtube at the moment with some of the Al Qaeda top brass and fighters in Syria, Al Qaeda are the forgotten force in this conflict and gaining strength day by day, the end game for this was appears to be Al Qaeda vs ISIS and it's a simple turf war to see who get's to set up the calipahte. Assad (russia or not) is finished.

If they are so inaccurate and very indiscriminate, how did they manage to "double tap" a target then?

Shall we call the Mk82, a cylinder bomb then?

Very good and Vice do not belong in the same sentence.
