Very good and Vice do not belong in the same sentence.
Really? I think they're pretty good...

This comment piece in the Indy seems to be apposite;

No matter which outcome, the short term future for 'ordinary' Syrians is grim.

If they are so inaccurate and very indiscriminate, how did they manage to "double tap" a target then?

Shall we call the Mk82, a cylinder bomb then?
You can all it what it is or what you like but it is not an old oil barrel full of HE and scrap is it.

I can't think of a Vice documentary where I ever really learned anything. I always thought of them as the Mast Brothers Chocolate of news.

I may be a bit naive but can't we invite Russia to join Nato? Then recruit whatever ME "friends" we have and then put boots on the ground and do the job properly?

Over simplified I'm sure but it can't be any worse than the current tit for tat with Russia.

Well they certainly don't have an editorial policy in the way say the BBC or Fox News would, they seem to be more into documenting and journalism rather than trying to educate opinion. This video is what it is, a couple of days following some Al Queada fighters, no moral outrage or commentary, just words and pictures, I like it, means you can make your own mind up.

An exercise in pin head dancing under-way, how about calling it a bomb, simple and descriptive.

I think the obvious logic of this comes up against oil politics and a silly insistence on seeing Russia as the enemy no matter what.

If you are saying they never have an agenda, I disagree. Their Ukraine coverage was basically in lockstep with the MM outlets you mention, if I recall correctly. Most of their documentaries (generally speaking) come off as fluff with little actual content, so I have not watched many. Just my opinion. They do have the Brooklyn hipster globetrotter look down pat though. Style seems to be very important at Vice.

barrel--BOMB

I think I will stick with an accurate description thanks as not all bombs are equal in effect, use, delivery, fuses or content.

Is your Merc a CAR ? maybe change your garage list to CAR, CAR, CAR ?

We could even invite Chine into the fray as they've recently started their own peacekeeping activities elsewhere in the world.

Wouldn't be many national threats left in the world if we could get Russia and China to sign up to Nato.

Too much sense?

I think a large amount of st is going to hit a very big fan sometime soon if this keeps on.

WW3 hasn't been closer since the Cuban missile crisis, we are just lucky Obama is in the White House and not Bush who was a lot more gung ho.

The difference is, the make of the car actually makes a difference. Why not include the make of the bomb or missile then, does it change the way it sears flesh and explodes intestines?

Well whilst you're adding pointless descriptions to things why not include the colour of the CAR and also the seat material and the address of the garage where you bought it.

You may as well say sky-blue bombs with double folded seams and burnished rims.

Oh shut up......the "make" of the device is a BARREL bomb you twunk, it describes what it is and it does what it does in a different way than "a-n other bomb".

How about people stop bickering over semantics (my bomb is worse than your bomb) and actually read one of the more important posts in this thread?

Indeed.
"But that’s not what’s important. What’s critical is that the world gets the truth about who’s financing and facilitating “Raqqa’s Rockefellers.” If a NATO member is supporting this, and if the US has refrained from bombing ISIS oil trucks for 14 months as part of an understanding with Erdogan, well then we have a problem. For those who need a review, see the following four pieces:"

So if they shut off Turkeys black market ISIS oil route, does that mean petrol prices will rise again?
