I think you need to go back to the events of March 2011 to Deraa, Syria to remember how this conflict started.
War is of course terrible but as in the case of similar atrocities carried out by governments on their own people one has to step in to 'try' and stop it, if not by diplomatic pressure and mediation, then by force. The fact this particular conflict has turned into a proxy war makes it all the more difficult to sort out. Corbyn theory will, I'm afraid in the case of Syria have zero positive effect.
