Vlad: "So, Mr Erdogan, you aren't exploiting this conflict to buy half price Syrian oil, are you?"
Erdogan: "Most certainly not, that is absolutely slanderous."
Vlad: "Well....you won't mind if I do this then, will you?"

Dave,

When you look at the map of the region, you can see the routes of oil. "Oil convoys must go through PYD and Assad regime [territory]. If there is an oil trade, it is between Daesh and the Assad regime."

The PYD is the terrorist PKK organization’s Syrian affiliate and it controls most of the territory to the southwest of Turkey’s Syria border, as well as an enclave in the northwest. The Assad regime also controls some of the border in the northwest.

There 'is' cooperation between Daesh and the Syrian government forces against the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

So, either someone is telling porky's or there's an alternative route.

BTW, there is no alternative route and I'm no Erdogan fan, far from it.

Can I just let it be known that I am the first Delmarrist reformer who rejects the divinity of delmar as such but values his teachings for their true meaning, and believes that the tax should in fact be used to fund the petrol thirsty habits of the clergy.

Hi Dave,

I think it's because they want to be seen to be doing their part in the fight against terrorism and to invite themselves into the coalition to liberate Mosul will possibly give them a seat at the table!

Remember also they will want to make sure that none of the Kurds they don't approve of receive anything that might threaten their homeland.

Just my 2p.

Phil

I see our boys have just completed a successful bombing mission (using the latest in hugs 'n kisses happy bombs) which has obliterated the ISIS-held Omar oil field. The very same one that the US & Russia bombed into oblivion last month.

Just over a month ago on Friday 23rd October 2015, The Express reported the following obliteration of an ‘ISIS held’ oil field by a Russian and American attack:

The terrorists’ oil field in eastern Syria – part of a half a billion dollar crude industry for the group – was obliterated in a day of bombing conducted by both Russia and the US-led coalition.

US operations officer Major Michael Filanowski told reporters in Baghdad the Omar oil field was blitzed, heavily damaging the lucrative funding source for ISIS.

He said: “There were strikes last night that struck Daesh-controlled oil refineries, command and control centres and transportation nodes.

“There were 26 targets and all 26 were struck.”

Nice bit of Western propaganda.

It's just not worth reading is it? Second 'wave' of strikes. Pathetic.

Tories leading the way with efficient use of taxpayer's money, turning large bits of rubble into small bits of rubble.

Tories, much of Labour, UKIP and the Lib Dems leading the way, from where I'm standing.

Due to the complete lack of real research by the beeb they probably took that number of four aircraft from someone else's news-feed, like AP or Reuters.

There's more that number of aircraft at Acrotiri:

We can hear them and including under the hours of darkness.

The Israeli AF were carrying out day & night joint exercises with the Greek AF a couple of weeks ago together with 2 x 4 heli's.

I went up on the roof to watch the fly past.

4 x F16's with the afterburners on under darkness you don't forget.

The whole place looks like Stalingrad already and not sure why we are adding to it?

It's not even part of the commonwealth....

All we are doing are making more people migrate to the European Union whilst stirring the hornets nest.

What's our game plan? It can't be to defeat terrorism by bombing, it will not work, and it cannot be to get a nice government into Syria either, that won't work either. That's fantasy world.

Israel seems fairly happy with the situation wink

So I can put it on the wall or burn it in public of course. Depending on short sighted leaders from all sides.

As was ever the case.

To what end? Any why?

You can't come up with a solution to an undefined problem.
