Missed that, thanks, will need to watch it.

Adam Curtis is an excellent documentary maker, although his previous one, Bitter lake, was not as good as his usual fare.

It's nothing like the action Assad and the Russians are taking, and you know it.

Mosul is controlled by IS and it's murderous caliphate. Iraqi forces are trying to free 'it', and it's citizens from IS's oppression and return control to the elected government.

Aleppo is being oppressed by it's own murderous leader who wants to eliminate the citizens inside who he sees as a threat to his dictatorship. All aided and abetted by your mate Mr.P.
No Aleppo really isnt. The so called freedom fighters and Isil are both taking it upon themselves to lob rockets and bombs into government controlled Aleppo full of normal citizens trying to go about their daily lives. Would you have Assad sit back and do nothing and let them continue to do so?

Are you aware that the Assad regime has set up a reconciliations group the primary role of which is to get the terrorists to lay down their weapons in an attempt to stop the warmongering?

President Assad made a very valid point on this issue. Why would he stop the Terrorists from leaving Aleppo with their weapons so he could either go after them on open ground away from his civilians and likewise why would bomb his own hospitals in Aleppo as all that will do is give them fuel for their cause as they could claim he was actively targeting innocent and wounded syrians trying to get medical help.

Are you aware that the Syrians are suffering in Aleppo Gov held and Terrorist territory due to sanctions imposed by the EU and US meaning they cannot get vital supplies such as medical supplies?

Note how Isis were happily extracting millions of litres of oil from oil fields in broad daylight and selling it to turkey etc on the black market and yet the US and its allies didnt bother bombing the fields or the trucks carrying the oil. No it came down to Russia to do so and stop the flow of oil and Isis revenue from oil.

Stop believing all the bullst and start using basic reasoning and researching things.

I have posted before about a group from an American/International peace organisation who went to Syria recently and came back and gave a report which stated most of the issues in Syria weer being caused by the US and that all the Syrian people they spoke to wanted was to be left alone to fight their own battle without US intereference and supplying weapons and money to terrorists.

Do not bother, Cobnapint really, really, really does not like Putin. In fact, he is boycotting the letters P.U.T.I.N. in all correspondence and has stopped entering bare chested horse riding competitions or drinking Vodka in protest.

Putin makes Satan look like a boy scout, in the the world of Cobna.

That's a rather pathetic response QT.

Hypernormalisation shows Putin for the lier that he is.

It suggests that Syria was behind the shootings at Vienna and Rome airports in 1985.

And that it was Syria that was behind the Lockerbie bomb all along, and not Libya, which Reagan knee jerked towards initially.

It shows Assad's father adopting 'suicide bombing' from Iran in a major drive to force the US out of the ME. And Assad taking up where his father left off.

Seems the Assads in Syria have alot to answer for. No wonder the West want the latest one out of power, and no wonder Putin doesn't.

Actually its about money and has nothing to do with bombings or otherwise.

Where Putin and Russia are concerned they should not be trusted however there are a lot of very valid reasons for their present position which are perfectly valid and understanding.

And who created the Assad dynasty?

Oh look it is Adam Curtis again. Who created Assad, along with the Shah and Saddam Hussein.

Round and round we go.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adamcurtis/entries/d11d...

So should we have a no fly zone in Iraq? is the bombing of civilians in a surrounded city a war crime?

Your previous responses shows it should be, can we expect the same fulmination against the Iraqi government and it's backers?

The US was clearly trying to create a western-friendly democracy in Syria, one that it could do business with.
Like most recent well intentioned attempts in that part of the world, it backfired. The ME doesn't 'do' democracy - well, not like we do anyway.

As for the no fly zone in Iraq. Has anybody seen the need for one yet....?

Have there been reports of the random bombing of civilians in Mosul like your mate and his sidekick have been doing in Syria yet.......well, yes actually. They airdropped unguided leaflets warning residents about the upcoming offensive against one of the most fanatical death cults the world has ever seen.

I would say most of the population of Mosul will be welcoming these attacks so they don't have to watch any more members of their families getting executed for minor violations. They see it as a price worth paying.

That's not something that could be said of the residents if Aleppo.

Ah yes, the well-intentioned violent and illegal overthrow of a sovereign government.

Create a more western friendly democracy, Or a captured state to exploit? Hello Iraq.

So you are excusing the bombing of civilians by a government? Okay in Mosul, not okay in Aleppo. Why is that?

I wonder why the inhabitants of Mosul have not just run from the city!? Leaflets and all, Why has the Iraqi government not cleared the city of civilians?

You considered unguided ordnance a war crime in Aleppo but acceptable in Mosul, why? You called for a no fly zone because of that in Aleppo but not in Mosul. Why?

Your misquoting is like tourettes.

I'm not 'excusing' the bombing of civilians in Mosul at all.

It hasn't happened. The unguided bit was leafleting. Lol.

And you wonder why the inhabitants of Mosul haven't tried to escape and why the Iraqi government hasn't cleared the city of civilians.....? fking lol again ....

You actually think the Iraqi government has any say, any control of what goes on in Mosul...? It's controlled by ISIS, they'll be check points and roadblocks on all roads in and out of the city. Keep up.

You do get the fact that East Aleppo is controlled in the most part by Al Nusra (Al Qaeda) don't you?

MMmmmm, in fact the only part of Aleppo that the Russians and Syrians are bombing is the part where the rebel/terrorist groups are running the show.

Meanwhile in other non terrorist areas of Syria the so called butcher Assad seems to be less barrel bomby...

Hoisted by fk'all you cretin.

I haven't called for the Syrian government to clear Aleppo of civilians (although they are doing that by other means). It was YOU that called for the Iraqi government to clear Mosul when they have absolutely no control there whatsoever.

Misquote number 698. You must be going for promotion at RT.

Keep up the good work, they'll notice you eventually with crap like that.

Syria is being accused of carrying out a "new" alledged chlorine attack (in March) last year.

Apparently delivered in some of those nasty, horrible, awful barrel bombs.

Bit like this: https://youtu.be/E_iq0lKTCfU?t=30

You can feel the frustration can't you?

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-37736184

The US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, has described the use of chemical weapons as "barbaric" and called for "all states to support strong and swift action".

In further news, 100s of people were cut in half by Allied military machine guns, smashed by mines and morters and burned alive by rockets.

Samantha says "that's ok!".
