2009/10 public spending £669 billion, 2011/12 will be £710 billion. Even after inflation hardly draconian cuts.

I would say that most of them are either thick or very naive.

Some of the signs behind the BBC reporters are awesome.

There was one that said

"This is so '80s"

Anarchists protesting government cuts; I find huge irony is this.

Doesn't most of the anarchists live on government benefits?

Henry Kissinger stated that the U.K. Government has huge guts in making austerity cuts. He says that for too long, the government was afraid to do anything that would bring a bit of pain to the electorate. Therefore, doing so now will bring heat on the politicians but will defer far worse pain in the long run.
He also seperated the violence sweeping the ME from London by stating the difference is institutional and questioned legitimacy of leadership. The London protestors are simply spoiled muppets who don't know what having it bad really means.

Oh, FFS! Is this it? This is the usual attack method. I KNEW Thatcher would be mentioned somewhere along the line.

IF these were independent people against the cuts I could understand but all I see are signs of 'Unison' and 'Socialist Worker' (biggest Oxymoron ever).
