Charles and The Princess Consort Camilla.
It's very unlikely that Camilla will be allowed to take the title 'Queen'.
edit - William does not seem like the type of man who would be happy accepting the throne if it meant bypassing his dad. It would be worse than what Milliband jnr did to his elder brother.

If Charles didn't want to be king then it would go to Andrew, for wills to become king his dad would have to be the King first.
I don't think that's true.http://www.royal.gov.uk/ThecurrentRoyalFamily/Succ...
If Charles were to die before the Queen gives up her seat or dies herself then it goes to William, not Andrew.
I'd like to think Charles will recognize that he's ascendance to the throne could well be the end of the monarchy, because to many a misinformed person he is some sort of menacing anti-Diana (who is, by all accounts, a demi-god of the modern day) pariah.
I've heard that the Queen wishes to step down at 90, and hand over control to Charles. I doubt she will abdicate, as that will likely cause instability and be constitutional madness. If it is true, in five years, Charles will likely become regent until the Queen dies, then he'll ascend the throne. But not as Charles, because he doesn't want to end up being another Charles I, who apparently made the name unlucky. So, no Charles III... I think he might come as either a Henry IX or Edward IX...
However, Charles himself is 62, and will likely have to step down for William to become regent when (at most) he's 90 too. So, after a (perhaps) 22 year reign, we'll have William... who by that age will be 55. Then after an indefinite amount of time will be William V.
But in reality, Charles may be happy acting as regent for his mother for a while and then let the throne go straight to William.... it's really a debatable thing.

There's no choosing in a hereditary monarchy. Either Charles becomes king on his mother's death, or the whole institution is scrapped.
There is a suggestion that the rules of hereditary are to be changed to allow the first born to be next in line regardless of sex.Further, William and Mary were 'brought in' by parliament, chosen in fact, in a manner that has been deemed legal but was a wee bit iffy at the time. So in essence any monarch can succeed regardless of any 'rules'.
Chas is 60-odd. His old man is nigh on ninety. He has, according to that, an anticipated reign of almost 30 years less the time it takes his mother to croak. Given that Chas' hold on reality has often seemed less than secure it might me that William will become regent for a while as Chas ages. 25 years or so is above average for a British monarch.
Chas has always seemed about 70 in his outlook. One wonders if this will change when he gets to 70. But will he get older or younger in his outlook?

Quite, it can all be dispensed with whenever it suits purpose.Chas has always seemed about 70 in his outlook. One wonders if this will change when he gets to 70. But will he get older or younger in his outlook?
I think he will be younger but look older

IIRC he said a few years ago when he takes the throne he'll be known as George VIICaptainSlow said:
I'm asking for a preference if given a hypothetical choice. I know the constitution has to be followed.
In which case, I choose ......................... me. I'd be great as King, I'd ban the Labour Party and all the Trotskyite, Stalinist fascists too.In fact i'd just take over running the country, ban Prius and other hippy cars, set a minimum 60mph speed limit on motorways and all rural roads and loads of other stuff, that i'm too tired to think of at the moment.
Either way, I'd be awesome, so it'd be win / win for all petrolheads and lose / lose for anyone who enjoys tofu, lentils or any woven products.
Sadly, this won't happen and Charles will be the next King, as per the succession rules. Way too many thickos will think the referendum is about this, or worse, actually think that Wills was crowned King on Friday!
