As per title really, does anyone know the cheapest way of paying money into a Brazilian bank account from here in Real/Reais (as opposed to Dollars)?

We are talking about £10/15K, so not Western Union/Money gram territory. Timescales 3/4 days should be ok.

Many thanks in advance for any input smile

One of the FX houses will be best for that - TorFX is one, but there's many others.

I used HiFx to transfer money to Australia and they were good, there are loads of companies offering similar rates out there, but I think this is the same compnay that provides the post offices FX site so I felt pretty secure going with them.

The complication is that the bank accounts at the other end want it in "Real" and everyone I have asked so far only wants to send it in Dollars - so I get shafted twice!

Any decent FX outfit will do it.

I use First Forex, but they're all much of a muchness I've found.

Thanks - I just rang them, they can't do it in Real either but were very helpful.

I guess if doing it in Real isn't possible and I have to go down the double shafted Dollar route it might as well be them as anyone else.

AFAIK BRL is a non deliverable currency, so they can only deliver USD, where it's then exchanged (again) locally.

That would explain why nobody wants to do it.
