yes

When you see threads on Bitcoins appear on PH and moneysavingexpert, you know it's time to sell up.

I'm wondering if anyone bought gold around 1700.

At the minute demand is outpacing supply, hence the volatility. Maybe when the amount in circulation reaches near peak, it will calm a little.

This. When Silk Road got closed down by the FBI a couple of months back Bitcoin plummeted to c£70 btc. It has since gone on a steady climb to £517. I don't see it going much higher tbh so you've probably missed the boat.

Yes, although I remember thinking the same when it made it over $200 a while ago.

I've heard rumours about someone I know making 6 figures from Bitcoins.

A chart...

https://gold.net/chart/currency/BTCGBP/

I think the peak I'm thinking of is the one around the 6th of April.

I'd expect something similar with the latest peak. Drop back to around half it's current value (£250), stay that way for a while and then bubble again to something that makes the latest bubble look fairly miniscule.

I haven't put any money where my mouth is currently though. I looked at it after the ~$200 peak in April, however the amount of trust I felt I could put in the exchanges etc (sending them a bank transfer, wait 4 days) put me off. Perhaps things have improved since then.

I got 0.001 bitcoin free years ago when an exchange was giving it away for people to try, was worth a fraction of a penny.

It now worth about a fiver.

So yeah, I'm in (in a small way).
