Just because a product hasn't performed as well as expected / anticipated does not mean it was mis-sold. Yet you seem to be happy that people who were NOT mis-sold will likely be able to claim compensation as it will be too difficult or expensive for the provider to prove otherwise.

I'm fed up of being savvy and not getting anything, while idiots get compensated for being stupid far more than they technically lost out upon (like PPI refunds)

What is mis-sold anyway and where is mis-bought? Selling under false pretences - lying - is clearly wrong but surely at some stage you hit the problem that someone buying something should make the effort to understand what it is.
