I don't remember the VAT rules from the top of my head, but as an EU business, if they are VAT registered then they need to charge VAT their country/ UK rates.
If you buy something from another country that has VAT you pay their rates.

The fact that the charged you only the net and then issued this invoice suggests something is amiss with their systems!
That looks to be the case as the price of the item was the same (before discount) on the UK website I found it on.

Why didn't you buy from here (I Googled it before I saw you posted a link and it's the first hit): https://www.gpdealer.co.uk/gopro/store/product/gop... £10 cheaper and free next day delivery?
I'd done a bit of overtime which was paid with my August salary.

In order to dispose of the extra money quickly and efficiently, I decided to buy things at the most expensive price I could find until it was all gone.

Well that part failed - you had to start a thread on PistonHeads about it when you could have been using the time to get rid of the money you'd have saved using the cheaper place.

And you'd have the mount by now. Is you dog rolling its eyes at you?

Above a certain threshold, I believe they need a UK VAT registration, meaning VAT at UK rates.

It does indeed.
