I have just been told that this is a wonderful site for all sorts of information. Can anyone help please,
My daughter has just been given a much sought after apprenticeship as a tattoo artist but has to fund her living and a small amount of equipment for one year. We have tried all the usual places and because it falls outside of the normal no one will consider her for a loan.
Does anyone know of any sites that we could go to for a student/apprentice style loan - Thank you Sally

Do you mean Tattoo artist as in snakes with "I love Mum" on them or cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows/lips etc? I would have thought she would get some advice from whoever is giving her the apprenticeship - can she work as part of her training and charge fees?

Sounds a bit like the way hairdressers work in saloons - most of these supply their own equipment.

Has she been taken on as a proper "employee" or is she being hired under some sort of "self employed" arrangement.

What type of equipment does she need to have and how much would it cost?
