After a bizarre 8 month relationship, she just disappeared!! - a long, but very interesting story as it happens, but I have good reason to believe she may have, or intends to, use this address to obtain Credit.

Is there anyway I can put a block to this? Or advise me what precautionary steps I need to take.

Possible with some minor impact on your own credit applications. Notice of disassociation first and foremost, then look at each individual CRA to put some form of "refer upwards" flag on the name/address combination, so they refer back to you, if applications are made.

Not sure you could ask the Royal Mail to see if there is a redirect in her name for her post, but that should be picked up as a flag by most applications anyway.

Now post the story...

8 months, I assume you weren't married and didn't have any joint credit agreements or a joint account?

If so then complete the notice of disassociation, otherwise you've got nothing to worry about really, she will need to give your address as a previous address if she wants to apply for anything - if you're worried she might be using it as her current address, although why is anyone's guess because it won't land in your lap, anyway if she's still getting post at your address return it all as "gone away" won't take long for her to have that noted with Experian et al and will pretty much kill her using your address as her current address.
