Standard residential mortgage or not?

Hi guys

We've found a fantastic house with great potential at a good price.

The current owners run a cattery business from there.

They are selling the house and walking away from the cattery business. It barely makes any money so wouldn't be worth anything anyway.

I'm getting conflicting advice regarding whether or not a commercial mortgage would be needed.

We don't want a commercial mortgage. And are only really interested in the house. The cattery may be useful as a 2nd income but not at the expense of missing out on the house.

Any broker fancy dishing out some free advice

Presumably it is class C building use if it's a house so it would be a residential mortgage. Sarnie on the board is the mortgage man in the know, I would drop him a line if he doesn't appear on this thread.
