We're very happy with Nationwide, real people (no overseas call centre rubbish) and absolutely no mistakes in 10 years. I've always heard good things about firstdirect but I like being able to go into my local branch. I don't think you can go wrong with either...

Just had a call from RBS to check on a transaction on my credit card for security reasons. What was the transaction? £20 for Dominos pizza from my local shop! Of course it was me you tts! They didn't query the £2k payment on the same day though...
