I think I'm right in saying that any judgment is only capable of being registered after 28 days. If you pay within that period no judgment should appear on the register.
An alternative if it goes to court is to see if the other side will agree to a Tomlin Order - the claim is stayed upon terms set out within a schedule, setting out payment terms. There is then no judgment. Breach the terms of repayment and the claimant can restore proceedings.
