I have also been with them for years, and don't find them pedantic at all - every 2 or 3 years they send me out an options for renewal form telling me which ones I can apply for - I tick the right box, and they give me the mortgage. Never any questions asked, the only thing is you have to call them and sit through a spiel where they tell you they are not financial advisors, and so if you mess up it is your fault!

Try applying to them as a new customer now, under the new MMR regulations.................
