I've purchased silver coins from Weighton Coin Wonders on numerous occasions without issue, and they also buy back. Not close as such, but more in your part of the world than the likes of Baird or ATS.

I think the legal tender aspect of it means they need to be British coins, i.e. not Krugerrands or the like.
Correct, this same for silver coins.

Update....sold them on ebay...lovely man from up North (even further north than me)

In the end easy peasy deal at £1020 for the 5.
