Recently, I had one of those lovely PPI refund places call me. They said that I was "entitled" to a refund for PPI on my MBNA credit card.
This was news to me as far as I am aware, I've never had PPI in my life. I explained this to them but they seemed to think that even if I'd never taken any out, by agreeing to MBNA terms and conditions (and as long as i'd made purchases totalling more than £2000 during a certain time period) then I was still "due" a refund??

Once I had asked for information in the post they suddenly lost interest which was good as the woman caller was extremely annoying!

But it did get me thinking about it- were they spinning a load of tosh or was them some truth in what they were saying?

Anyone else had something similar happen?

How can you receive a refund of what you have never paid?

The woman is probably paid £5 for every lead she passes back up the tree.
