strange outgoing on bank statement "tax taken"

Just checked my online banking now, and noticed something odd. There's been an outgoing payment of 2p with the only description as "tax taken" and the same listed for transaction type.

It's the first time I have seen this, and it is only 2p which is hardly anything to worry about, it's just the fact whoever it is has successfully taken that 2p, and has the potential to take even more.

Anybody seen this on any of their bank statements? Any recommended course of actions?

10% tax is automatically deducted from any interest on bank accounts. If you are a higher rate taxpayer you have to hand over a further 10%.

Can you drill in to the account to find out who the recipient is?

Can you contact your bank to ask?
