Credit checks during mortgage application

Hi all - currently remortgaging, adding my partner on.

We also plan on setting up a joint account. I have just realised that most accounts now will mean a credit check - both our credit scores are good but is it wise to set the joint account up while our re-mortgage application is going through?

It would only be an issue if your score was absolutely borderline in the first place........
