Hello all,
I need to have a VAT registered Ltd set up (quickly 2-3 weeks max) due to a few transactions all landing at the same time.I do not think that going down company formation route then applying for vat reg will be quick enough.
I have been acting as consultant, with agreement that i am paid on deal reaching heads of terms state. I also receive income from agent position on land transaction.
I have had a quick search on tinternet nothing has jumped out.
Has anyone had a good/bad experience they can share with me.
All advice gratefully received.

You can always go down the normal route and account for the VAT as soon as the registration arrives.

HMRC are reluctant to VAT register an "off the shelf" company on the basis that on "off the shelf" company will not be trading and will therefore not be making or be intending to make "taxable supplies".

Getting a business bank account could also take a fair bit of time.

Book an appointment now.

As above the actual VAT registration can happen after you've started trading without too much bother.

As above, i think having a Co bank account to pay the money into is going to be the most time consuming. I would recommend getting a shelf Company, change the name if you wish and use the certificate of incorporation to open a bank account. At the same time register for VAT online. as Eric states above, you can account for the VAT until the registration number arrives.
