Hi, I'm looking for some sort of free personal finance software and would greatly appreciate any recommendations?

Ideally a spreadsheet of some sort to just show your basic ins and outs and maybe a mortgage section to show where its up to with the potential to include the help to buy payments at later stages.

I did have one some years ago which was decent but I was wondering if there's a more up to date version that people have tried and tested.

Thanks smile

Slightly off topic, but get rid of Help To Buy as soon as you can afford to mortgage the whole house. We're having a nightmare selling our house now, they put loads of hurdles and thus time in the way of selling.

I still use Quicken 2004. I was using an earlier version but found 2004 on the Quicken support site as a free download.

The online features no longer work in the UK but I never used them anyway.

I used to use Microsoft Money which wasn't bad, not tried the newer versions though.

I just use Excel these days.

I have used the PocketMoney app for the last couple of years after ditching MS Money. It's got good reviews and a new developer has taken it over and made some good improvements on last weeks new release.
