Last year I started a second job a few months into the financial year, as well as keeping my original job. Therefore I got hit with the BR tax code and everything was hit at 20% tax. However I haven't used all of my personal tax allowance from my first job for the last financial year. So does that mean I should be entitled to a refund? And if so how much?

Numbers are:
Personal Allowance: £10,600
Job 1 earnings (all of personal allowance applied to): £8,300
Job 2 (BR 20% tax) earnings: £8,300

You will get back £2300 x 20% = £460

Looks like you've paid 20% on £2,300 that you shouldn't have.

Thanks, looks like I need to get in touch with HMRC then.
